This list is written as though the author has only ever heard 75 albums that are even vaguely connected to punk. The problem with these lists (ones published in major magazines and such), is that their written by people who don’t know jack-all about 80% of the punk scene, which is the stuff that never made any billboard countdown.Seriously, Nirvana? The inclusion of post-punk Nirvana is not at all what makes this a jaw-droppingly terrible list (it awkwardly bends the genre definition, but it’s at least a respectable choice). It’s a jaw-droppingly terrible list because it includes so much mediocre punk-pop fluff and excludes about 3/4 of the albums that should be on any true, discriminating list of the greatest classics of punk.
