kalavinka's "American Film 1930-1960"

While cleaning out my room I found another old course syllabus and made this list. (I might find more and make more lists.) The majority of what we read were articles assembled together in a reader but I searched for authors/titles and added some books to the list by the same author on the same theme.

What was easy about this class is that I had already seen half of the films. What was annoying were young kids who didn’t know squat about classic Hollywood and couldn’t pronounce Claudette Colbert. What was tough was just turning vegan and this class was right after work at dinner time so I had to bring healthy food each time. (a lot of film classes were at dinner time so many brought their dinners with them; the clash of smells can be tough if you have no food)
