The The at #1! I don’t know that album, did like Infected in the 80’s, must give Soul Mining a try. In Yorkshire, England they had terrible trouble asking for The The albums in shops.

It’s a touchstone for the people who found it at the right time for them. I’ve only talked to a handful of people who have heard it and each one raves about it (and I’m no exception). I liked Infected but loved Soul Mining a lot more – an intensely introspective album which one can view as a whole more than the sum of the songs. Hope you like it but I know that music is ever a matter of personal taste.
