are all of these trilogies or do some of them just have the same directors and some of the same actors?

they are all trilogies but not necessarily a continuation of the same story.
Box sets?
Because some of these aren’t even remotely close to being trilogies. Just because they are packaged together does not make them trilogies. Just saying. I guess the example that really sticks out is A.I., Minority Report, and Catch Me if you can. The common link is obviously Spielberg, but they are not a trilogy… just a box set.
That was the “Running Man” trilogy. Trust me, it really bugged me too and now that someone’s removed it from wikipedia, I’ll remove it too, especially since Polanski’s “Apartment” trilogy is not listed here.
I’m also not a fan of the “trilogies” where it seems like they just made another one to cash in on what they could. Some of these will be milked further and become series so I’ll be happy to remove those when they reach that technical requirement.
