I added Torment. I hope that’s OK. It wasn’t directed by Bergman but he wrote the screenplay and directed a scene he had to change so it is often considered to be his directorial debut.
Comments
Torment was not the only film Bergman wrote and did not direct, so there would be a few others that should be added if we’re opening it up to writing credits. As a proponent of the auteur theory, I’d have to say I’m opposed to including writing credits on this list.
