A Cloud in Love (#429 - p. 9) — 1 year ago
It seems as if the picture was not a part of Kurchevsky/Serebryakov filmography. There is, on the hand, also an animation short of the same title made in 1959 by Roman Kachanov and Anatoliy Karanovich. Since it had been cited at several film festivals I make out it may be the film in question. Will be grateful for clarification.

Thank you for your attention, as always.
Well, I have not seen it myself, but the film on the list can be seen referenced here—http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_Russian_animation (halfway down the page). Can you provide a link to your Kachanov film? I don’t see it in his filmography.
Thank you!
The main Russian animation database gives Karanovich and Kachanov as directors of “The Cloud in Love” (Vlyublyonnoe oblako)

As it provides more details than the Wikipedia article, I gather it should be more reliable.

What a wonderfully useful website! Thank you for bringing it to my attention! I’ll have to pore over those listings very attentively!
Vas blagodaryu, Sir.
Glad you find the site useful. Knew about it for some time now, but somehow haven’t noticed it also had an English version. By the way, there is another quite decent database of Soviet and Russian films (kinoexpert.ru) I would recommend but alas it’s only in Russian.
Meanwhile, I’m figuring to be one the list’s main beneficiaries. My viewing menu, since I’ve joined it, consists mostly of its entries. I’m concentrating on the 60s and even with many revisits raised the percentage from 29 to 32.

32 percent, eh? Very nice! I’m at a mere 13% for now, but I am steadily working my way up (perhaps I’ll catch you some day?).
Thank you for both sites! I haven’t had a chance to check them out properly yet (very busy lately), but I certainly will. As for any sites being in Russian, throw them my way! Ya deistvitel’no umeyu chitat’ po-russki—chestnoye slovo!
