well, the bbc listener….........do they never read a book from germany? besides PERFUME (which is nice, but not a really classic….) u really can not find even one classic novel from germany…..................ups.

The question was asked what is your favourite book? Have to admit that as a result there are a lot of children’s books on the list and not many other countries represented. It would be interesting to see what a German list would look like if a poll was done in Deutschland.
You could always look at the 1001 books to read before you die list. Lots of German books on both the 2006 and 2008 versions.
