The last Harry Potter (and the Goblet of fire) had some fierce mermaid creatures, all of the Peter Pan movies have mermaids in them and theres the upcoming M Night Shyamalan film, Lady in the Water. Also, the first film adaptation of “The Little Mermaid” was a russian film called “Rusalochka”, which translated is basically the same thing

I appreciate the contribution and have added all three of these to the list now. I watched the Harry Potter movie and love the look of the mermaids. I need to add the rest of the Peter Pan movies and plan on it. I don’t know much about the foreign versions of most films, though I do know the Secret of Roan Inish was originally a foreign film. I tried looking it up on the movies on listsofbests, but it isn’t listed, yet. I need to list it myself. I hadn’t heard of “The Lady in the Water,” but I’m glad you mentioned it to me. I am looking forward to watching it after it’s released. I like some of M Night Shyamalan’s work and the film sounds interesting. Besides, if it deals with anything reminiscent of mermaids, I’ll give almost anything a look. The cover work for the film looks beautiful.
