The Things They Carried, 5. The Watchmen 6. Around the World in 80 Days, 7. Their Eyes Were Watching God, 8. A Modest Proposal, 9. Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency, and 10. Veronika Decides to Die.

Agree with your ranking of Silas Marner. The only book I read at school that I have reread over and over. Fave scene – “Eppie in de cole hole”
