you should check out my “kung-fu and extreme asian movies” list, if you haven’t already. It includes horror movies, too.
This list seems familiar…could it be because it is infact my list?

I was under the impression that this was community site with everyone participating in it with the knowledge that people would “borrow” ideas that they liked. I can’t tell you how many people have done the same to me with lists I have put a lot more work into that you did this one.
Not to mention the fact that these are well known movies. I’m sorry but you flatter yourself if you think you’re list is a completely original idea. Frankly, I’m insulted by your attitude.
There is a reason why it is called “MY fave. Asian horror.” I wouldn’t take someone else’s list without asking. Call me petty but I just feel that would be the polite way of going about it.
I didn’t mean to insult anyone with my “attitude”. I am original. I put time and effort into picking out my favorites.

And I think I understand the misunderstanding now. The personal list is a list that is not from a recognized body. It’s not an award or definitive list. It doesn’t mean you “own” the idea. That is a misunderstanding of this website—and to a certain degree—the internet itself. If you want to “own” something like that, you would put it in spreadsheet in excel and never share it with anyone.
And for the record, I wasn’t adding a list of favorites; I was trying to create a should see list. I think you misunderstood that as well, from your “I’m original” comment.
However, all that said, I did add a description that gives you credit for making the original list.

I apologize that you feel I don’t understand. I understand perfectly well. I am actually a very intelligent person. I don’t have any difficulty understanding what a personal list is.
This isn’t worth “argueing” over. I shouldn’t have opened my mouth in the first place…..

i like both of your lists and have taken ideas from both of them and added them to my “kung fu and extreme asian movies” list. i appreciate the input and ideas i have received from both of you – thanks for helping me discover new things. and if you haven’t joined my list yet, you should. it will be fun for everyone!
