but I have to admit that a lot of them have fairly interesting plots that differ. Though you can generally tell with the title of the book. Gossip Girl series for example is fairly similar to most horrible teen lit books in which the characters are all fake, while the Meg Cabot books, such as teen idol, have fairly realistic characters where the characters actually live in a house where they get a small allowance, have to work, have troubles and most people can actually relate to them. I’d have to say there are many teen lit/chick lit books where the characters can actually impact the lives of others in a good way.
