Personally I don’t think it’s fair to use best of/greatest hits collections on lists like these. The greatest hits of the greatest artists are going to be, um, great—that’s kind of a gimme. On the other hand, it’s pretty hard to argue with it, I guess.

In their defense
It’s hard to find a lot of the older country albums in their original release format. It’s more of a “singles” genre than being album-oriented.
