but I had no idea HOW little a metal fan I was until now. Yikes…oh well, at least I’ve never bought a “Winger” T-shirt :)

Oh Dear...
While taking a brain break from work this afternoon, I came across this heavy metal list and am almost embarrassed at how many I AM able to cross off as old school back in the day golds. I don’t think I’ll plan to add completion of this delicate audio decay to my lists of grown life goals anytime soon though…
Proudly, though, I admit attending the Poison/Cinderella reunion tour in 2005 following my way delayed college graduation. My date and I had an absolute ball as the 30 something couple dancing and singing on camera for the big screen throughout the night, egged on by the members of the band… We were horse for days after it all but it is one of my better memories. Somehow, the shallowness and frivolity of ruling the “Big Hair” Kingdom for the night and the fantastic sense of irony made it worth it all. [The bands were at the height of thier popularity when I should have finished college the FIRST time!]
Happy Day. This archaic detour was certainly fun!
...and for the record: back in the day Kip Winger, live, had the whitest teeth I have ever seen (almost dayglow). Been there, done that, passed on the Winger 2-for-1 deal and went for straight for the overly pricy yet “oh so classicly graphic-enhanced” Ramones t-shirt from the same venue. I was cool.
[laughs at self] Gotta love old skool rules.
