Nope,
Scorsese should not have won. Although he won, it’s more an honorary award. The Departed does not even come close to his other masterpieces.

It was honorary.
I have not seen The Departed yet but have heard similar comments from other people. However, the fact that he has gone without an Academy Award for so long seems wrong.
