The "Personal MBA" books
Personal MBA? — 4 years ago
I am skeptical about a “personal MBA” – it seems entirely different from what you get when attending an MBA program. I’ve read that the most valuable part of getting an MBA is the network of contacts that you make while getting the degree.
Yes, reading business books can be valuable. But it’s not giving you the value that you get from a good MBA program (not that I know anything about that!).

Depends on your circumstances
I’m sure there are some benefits to a real MBA, including good a good network of contacts. But is that network worth the price of tuition? (even if you go on scholarship, there’s the investment of time to consider as well)
For me, with a full time job, 2 small businesses and a baby, an MBA just isn’t possible. But I can manage a booklist!
