Is Hawaii Oceania or North America? What about the Canary Islands? Is that Europe or Africa?

My humble opinion would be that Hawai’i is the group of islands in the middle of the Pacific. That is, if you live in Hawai’i and have never left the islands then I would say that you haven’t actually been to any continents.

The fact that it is a state of the United States of America, which is predominantly in the continent of North America is irrelevant.

Just my thoughts…

Canary Islands

To my information the Canaries belong to Spain and thus to Europe. But I never actually investigated on what tectonic plate they are located ;-)

Canary Islands is definitly in Africa.

For Lisili…yes it is under Spanish Government but that doesn’t change the place where they are…which is in Africa.
When we talk about continents….it’s geographicaly….not politicaly


Sorry I don’t know about Hawaii
I am not sure where is the limit of America and Australia Oceania
