CCM Presents: The 100 Greatest Albums in Christian Music

Why this list is REALLY hard to complete — 3 years ago

Christian contemporary music is notorious for its short shelf life. Many of these albums have been critically lauded since their time of release but have been out of print since the year after! Case in point: Mark Heard appears 3 times on this list (#32,#29,#4 and if you count the tribute album to him..#25) but every one of those is out of print, meaning you can’t borrow it at the library. Hearing it means shelling out often high collector’s prices and I’m not willing to do that without having heard the music in question.

Any one got any pointers to places I might be able to stream the FULL SONGS from the albums listed here?

ELUSIVE:

100. MIRROR-Evie
97. THE BRIDE-Crystal Lewis
96. FIRE & ICE-Steve Camp
93. HOW THE WEST WAS WON-2nd Chapter of Acts/Phil Keaggy/and a band called David
91. AWAITING YOUR REPLY-Resurrection Band
84. LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD-Lost Dogs
83. SHADED PAIN-L.S.U. (Lifesavers Underground)
81. LISTEN-Cindy Morgan
77. INVISIBLE GIRL-Julie Miller
72. WITH FOOTNOTES-2nd Chapter of Acts

29. DRY BONES DANCE-Mark Heard
25 ORPHANS OF GOD-Various Artists
17. WHITE HORSE-Michael Omartian
5. FOR HIM WHO HAS EARS TO HEAR-Keith Green

Any help in chasing down these tricky to hear titles would be appreciated….

I bought a record of For Him Who Has Ears to Hear by Keith Green at a reasonable price off Amazon.com. I don’t know if you’re into vinyl or not, but the record plays very well, even though the cover isn’t in the greatest condition. That doesn’t really concern me that much though.
