I like more of these than I hate. I’m with you on “Honky Tonk Badonkadonk” and “You’re the Inspiration” (Chicago at its treacliest).
And you’re verging on heresy casting aspersions at C.C.R. and “Freebird”

than I am to admit any of these are good songs. Let’s go!
Also, for real. It’s called “Freebird.” And it’s 7 minutes of utter guitar solo nonsense.
I’m not saying all of these artists are bad, but these are most assuredly bad songs.
Typo
My bad, I typoed on “Free Bird”. It’s been a long week. And though I’m more than willing to admit some of the Skynyrd catalogue is kind of lunkheaded, “Free Bird” is the band at its most beautiful and soaring.
I’m a big advocate of the 3 minute single. I believe in trimming the fat. But I can’t honestly listen to “Free Bird” and ever reach the point where I can say “Enough already Van Zant…song’s over” until the song really IS over. There’s no spot where I could shorten the song and thereby improve it. It is what it is..a finely wrought classic.
