NME's "100 Greatest British Albums Ever"
Oasis above the Beatles just points out how silly this list is — 1 year ago
I like & respect Stone Roses and the Smiths, but Oasis at #3 while Beatles is in the list but at #9 makes me think this is really a “100 Greatest British Albums From The Standpoint Of A Gen-Y’er” list, or that it was calculated to be blatantly ironic and annoying… I mean, are Oasis even a third rate Beatles?
Maybe it should be “100 Greatest British Albums Of The Last 20 Yrs”?

An utterly silly list. The skin crawls to imagine the meetings in which they concluded they were going to “shake things up a bit!”
