I never understood Plato’s desire to banish the poets until I saw Tarentino’s vapid piece of cinematic inhumanity. If I could erase one celloid pop masterpiece from existence it would be Pulp Fiction. A film that makes you a worse human being for having seen it.

I fear I’ll have the same reaction to Catcher in the Rye for similar reasons.
