New York Times - Best 1000 Movies Ever (2004 ed)

I saw that movie as part of the AFI’s 100 Cheers list, and I thought it hadn’t aged well at all.

Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner is one of those “socially responsible” films that is unbearably dated.

With this particular list though I also can’t believe that it is featured, as it is filled with unbearably dated and overrated films such as Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner.

You both, Mary Hawkins and kasparius, say the same thing.

I’m not understanding what you mean by “unbearably dated?”

Issues of that time period?
How the issue of racism was handled?

Please help me to understand.
