It’s a rotten list anyway. If commissioned to redo it I would throw out 3/4 of it without any wavering.

What would you throw out?
I see a few here and there, but there really isn’t a lot to replace these with.
In the American film circles there is a persistent but false notion that Arthur Freed musicals are a paragon of the genre. As a result, Freed’s pictures make up the lion share of the list while whole subtypes of musicals are completely shut out. For instance, such important performers as MacDonald/Eddy, Durbin, Lanza, Faye, Day don’t have a single film.
