Agreed!

I’m still pretty green, but I can comfortably say that Battle of Algiers, Passion of Joan of Arc, 2001, Blue Velvet, and yes Taxi Driver (very humble of you Mr. Schrader) are more interesting aesthetically and intellectually than Pickpocket, Tokyo Story, Vertigo, City Lights, and even The Godfather.

Ah well.
