80th Annual Academy Awards - 2008 Nominations

Why don’t we vote on whether or not to include Best Achievement in Makeup on this list? Would it break anyone’s heart if we removed that category?

I thought about it, but last year I really loved a few of the movies that were only from that category…

These are all the full length movies, if you cut one section, you then have to question all of them. I originally contemplated not putting in the movies that had been nominated just for the “song”. But… many people love songs from movies.

Of course, you are free to watch whatever categories you wish, which is why I put in the source list so you know which movies were nominated for what category.

My suggestion is to just tick off the sections you don’t wish to see. It’s not worth wasting life over if you don’t want to see them is it? But others may want to see the entire list so lets not take that away from anyone. It’s not fair.

Personally, I’m going to watch the entire list, even Norbit. My thoughts on this is that I am going to have an open mind to all these movies and all these artists and just watch them. Perhaps I’ll be surprised, perhaps I’ll be appalled, but I won’t prejudge. I too went eek when I saw Norbit on the list originally, but I did that for Click too last year and I was wrong. Who knows what this batch bring!
