Kerrang's "50 Greatest Punk Albums"The list was voted by readers of Kerrang! and published in a special called "Noise Pollution." (From Wikipedia:) Kerrang! is a British music magazine. The magazine’s title is onomatopoeic and derives from the noise made by playing a power chord on an electric guitar. Kerrang! began life in June 1981 initially as a one off supplement in Sounds magazine devoted to the burgeoning New Wave of British Heavy Metal scene and the rise of other hard rock acts such as AC/DC (who adorned Kerrang!’s first cover). During the 1980s the readers of Kerrang! were privy to the first UK interviews with Guns N’ Roses and Metallica, and during the 1990s Kerrang! introduced its readers to Nirvana, Marilyn Manson, Slipknot. Green Day, Korn and System Of A Down. However Kerrang!’s most successful period came at the turn of the millennium with the advent of nu-metal. (found at: http://www.punkbands.com/index.php?id=10466)
