Great Buddhas (Daibutsu) of Japan

Daibutsu literally means "big Buddha". Technically a Buddhist statue is named "Daibutsu" only when the overall height of the body is 4.8m or more. (definition from http://www.sukima.com/words/daibutsu.htm)
