alldoorsopen's "Books I've read in 2006"

I am usually one to read whatever is close at hand. In 2006, however, I made the time to seek out new favorite authors, old favorites, and to spend plenty of time (and money) in the sociology section.

On the non-fiction front I highly reccomend David Brooks’ On Paradise Drive and Bobos In Paradise-they offer a fascinating look at our ever-growing and changing suburban American society and our educated elite.

As for fiction-The Haha and The Myth of You and Me were two new favorties this year. I also love Melissa Banks’ witty look at coming of age and searching for love in The Wonder Spot.
