Those last two are more for the piano playing style… my voice definitely doesn’t sound like Vanessa Carlton’s though. Out of all of these references, I think Tori is maybe the only one who was a big influence to me musically, especially her first 2 albums and b-sides.
I like Sarah’s earlier work, definitely appreciate Poe, and can get in the mood to listen to Norah. I discovered Ani’s music late and am still exploring her huge catalog… Meanwhile, my Tori collection has gone digital – I wonder if any of these limited EPs and imports are worth anything now?
