This List presents the 100 movies selected by the Committee for the Commemoration of the Centennial of Cinema in Portugal. Committee members were: João Bénard da Costa (Cinemateca Portuguesa), Salvato Telles de Menezes (IPACA – Instituto Português do Cinema e Audiovisual), José Manuel Moser (Secretaria de Estado da Cultura), assisted by Maria da Conceição Pinho da Cunha.

(Note: 101 titles including both parts of Ivan the Terrible.)

Thanks for that list; i don’t remember seeing it before. A useful companion to the list i posted on Cinemateca Portuguesa’s list of top 100 European films from the same time. Oh, and good to see the underrated Chump at Oxford making an unexpected appearance
