Directors filmographies — 2 years ago

Almost all of these directors now have filmography lists on this site. Search for the directors name if you’re interested.

I'm upset — 2 years ago

Because every single director on this list is a boy. There needs to be more women in this field. Who agrees with me? I know, that all the people on this list are magnificent directors, but I find it very sad that none of them are girls.

ANG LEE — 2 years ago

where’s ang lee? as far as i’m concerned he’s one of the best directors of our time, as well as in history.

34? — 2 years ago

Spielberg is 34?! They’re saying 33 directors, including some guy who made a total of 4 films I never heard of, back in the 30s, is a better director than the man who made Schindler’s List, Saving Private Ryan and Raiders of the Lost Ark? That’s beyond insulting.

Update — 2 years ago

I’ve updated this list as per the theyshootpicture December update.

Minnelli — 2 years ago

Has two ‘n’s in the name.

Anyway, good list, I only marked directors from whom I’ve seen 3+ films from, obviously a difficult task with Jean Vigo but I’ll get there somehow with his shorts.

Untitled — 2 years ago

Not a bad list. An excellent site. Of course Mizoguchi would be a lot higher if more of the (especially Anglo-American) participants were familiar with his work- still terribly neglected, under-represented on video, dvd.
