The ordering of years on this list is inconsistent with the other BAFTA lists. This list has the year by year of the award ceremony, whereas the other lists are properly listed by year of the film’s release.

Need clarification — 4 years ago

Should this be the British Academy of Film and Television Arts Awards for Best Film, or for Best British Film? The Best British Film award appears to have been discontinued in 1968 and resumed in 1992.
