Premiere Magazine's "100 Movies that Shook the World"
Rather than quibble with AFI’s list of 100 best American movies, Premiere Magazine decided to take a different tack: "Why not celebrate the filmmakers who dared to be ridiculous, offensive, or even (imagine!) unpopular, and who <i>still</i> came up with classics?" None of the following 100 films (in alphabetical order) were featured on <a href="http://www.listsofbests.com/list/22">AFI’s 100 Greatest list</a>, but they’re all noteworthy for their startling ideas and images.
