Atonement — 4 years ago

Completed December 29, 2007. Really, really great. I have been updating my books at livejournal, so more detailed reactions can be found over there!

Animal Dreams — 4 years ago

Completed for philosophy on October 20, 2007. Okay. Some promising lines, but kind of reminded me of writing I’d find in the Time Traveler’s Wife.

S.H. of N. E. — 4 years ago

Completed on October 19, 2007. Kind of falling through on this book challenge. I got off to such a good start but I’ve been slacking so badly. I’m not any farther than I was last year. Anyway, this book was GREAT!

HP7 and SoS — 4 years ago

Both completed in July. Sorry for the gap, I got trapped in reading THEM by Joyce Carol Oates, which I wasted about two months on, reading nearly 90% of it, before I just couldn’t take it anymore.

Stranger — 4 years ago

Completed on Friday, June 1, 2007. Okay.

Ordinary People — 4 years ago

I’m not sure what to say about this. At times I felt it was cliche and predictable, and that the writing style was lousy, but at other times I found myself identifying so much with it, loving Conrad, and altogether it only took me a couple days to read it. I got it on Monday. Today is Thurs, May 24th.

The Prestige — 4 years ago

UN FRIGGINBELIEVABLE. Completed on April 27th, 2007. SO GOOD. My heart was racing at the end of it. I loved it! Very different from the movie!

Harry Potter 1 — 4 years ago

Reread over Easter weekend and completed April 10th, 2007. Interesting to read it again, you can see how much her writing style has improved! Fun, as always. I counted this as one of my 50 for now, but that my change if I can get back on track.

Flowers for Algernon — 4 years ago

Completed Easter Sunday, April 8th. Didn’t take too long to read, but it was worth it anyway. A cute story that made me think about how fortunate I am. I hope I won’t be taking my knowledge for granted any time soon after reading this.

East of Eden — 4 years ago

Yay! I loved this! Completed March 19, 2007 for Cont. Lit. It was great!

(Finally, a good book!)
