Read many of these and really like the addition of contemporary lit with classics. Re-read “TKAM” and got a whole new meaning to the book which tells me I need to reread all of them.

I don’t know how old these librarians are, but they certainly missed a number of classics. How about the collected works of William Shakespeare? James Joyce’s Ulysses? War & Peace? Tale of Two Cities? Moby Dick? Goodness, what an odd list. It happens I’ve read quite a few of them, but some I’ve never even heard of. And Middlemarch instead of Silas Marner? The mind boggles.

Well, I’ve read 5 that’s a start. I think two others that would go well on your list are A Separate Peace and Brave New World.
