I’ll have to check some of these out.

How about the Troma films:

Toxic Avenger etc?

They also did a great one called Nice Girls Don’t Explode. (Had the little cute man from Princess Bride, “Inconceivable!”)

There was also this notably bad film (either early eighties or late seventies), that involved phones killing people. Pretty awesome. And I can never remember the name of it.
