Add to my lists | Print this list

The recording industry’s most prestigious award, the GRAMMY, is presented annually by the Recording Academy. A GRAMMY is awarded by the Recording Academy’s voting membership to honor excellence in the recording arts and sciences. It is truly a peer honor, awarded by and to artists and technical professionals for artistic or technical achievement, not sales or chart positions. The annual GRAMMY Awards presentation brings together thousands of creative and technical professionals in the recording industry from all over the world.

I love this list.

A mark of mediocrity — 2 years ago

The Grammies are the opposite of a music award; about 80% of these albums will be mercifully forgotten.

Sometimes it’s given a good musician, but usually twenty years after they were good.

BY THE TIME I GET TO PHOENIX- GLEN CAMPBELL — 4 years ago

Anyone have any idea where I might hear this streaming online to check it off? Our local library doesn’t have it and they only do interlibrary loan for books…not CDs. I’m reluctant to purchase it solely to hear it.

I checked at THIS site:

http://www.radio3net.ro/1001/?str=raising+sand&Submit=Cauta%2FSearch&cx=search

And while it’s proven to be helpful in ticking some other boxes off, this particular album isn’t there.

Suggestions?

are you serious? — 4 years ago

Natalie Cole beat U2’s “Achtung Baby” for 1992 album of the year? Listen to those 2 albums in 2009. “Achtung Baby” is probably U2’s best album. What a sham!
