There is talk whether Sunrise should be on this list or not and I just wanted to say that the film may or may not be considered a best picture, however seeing Sunrise would benefit you so much, a lot more than some of these other best picture winners. So see Sunrise, even if it technically belongs on this list, it should belong on the list.

Finally! Wings and Cavalcade were holding me up for years on this, then finally I found them on torrents. Anyway, now I only have to watch one movie a year – just kidding, of course.

Sunrise won for what is basically a combination of Best Art Direction and Best Cinematography. It has no business on this list. Some hipsters lame article does not change history. Leave it off.

I changed a bunch of these back to the versions most people have consumed—The Apartment, In the Heat of the Night, Mrs. Miniver, etc.
