My music collection –
I’ve been wanting a place to catalog my collection – and this seems like the perfect place.
This is about 25 years worth of collecting.
I’m the youngest of 7 kids and grew up in a house that was full of music. My love of music started when I was real young listening to my older siblings’ records. When I was born, my oldest siblings were already in high school. My sisters left behind lots of 45s – music from the 50s and early 60s when they went off to college and my brother left behind his collection for a while – Beatles, Simon and Garfunkel, Jim Croce… I spent a lot of time raiding and listening to their music collections and as I got older my love of music grew.
There’s a lot of stuff here I haven’t listened to in years.
I know I have vinyl records that I have never listened to. Albums I bought at flea markets and yard sales right before cds, and slowly retired my albums. Some of these albums were my husband’s, before we ever met – and what’s his is mine :-)
I’m catalogging my collection here and marking items consumed as I listen to them all again. I supose this list will always be ‘in progress’ as I get new music and continue to add to my collection.
