so that explains why a lot of the American cuisine was left off.

bubble tea is also known as “boba”, which are simply tapioca balls.

so many people seem to love it and i’ve never heard of it before in my life!

Guinea pig? Hmm.. But I was surprised to see so many missing items that I’ve already tried:

Whale meat
Horse meat
Sea urchin
Lamb’s brain
Blowfish (fugu)
Bee’s larvae
Chocolate-covered ants
Goldfish

And a few standards it would be difficult to live without trying:

Turkey dinner
Grilled cheese sandwich
Donuts
Chocolate layer cake
Shrimp scampi
etc. etc.

there are a couple of things that are deeply, basically good beyond the sum of their parts, and good sour cherry pie from scratch is one of them. it’s one of the pleasures of this earth.

so is good corn bread.

I bet most meat eaters have eaten more than half of the food on this list….. so how are those foods necessary before we die???

Guinea pig, or cui, is popular in Ecuador. We were given it in the village I was in on my trip—they spice it, and it was actually alright, I tried a hind leg- the head is a delicacy, actually!

Guinea pig as I had them as pets when I was young and can’t imagine eating one (don’t eat rabbits either) and Shark…....because every shark in the ocean will instinctly know that I’ve tried one of their brethern and decend on mass to take revenge!

It is popular in Peru. There is a Peruvian Restaurant about 2 minutes walk from London Bridge Station (called Tito’s), and I know they were planing on selling it on Peruvian holiday days, but I’m not based in London and never went back to see if it was for sale!

The things I haven’t checked off on that list are going to stay unchecked, since they’re all dead things.
