Henry Miller's "Ideal Library"The American author Henry Miller (1891-1980) is best known for his experimental novels based on expatriate life in Paris in the 30’s and 40’s, such as Tropic of Cancer and Tropic of Capricorn. Many of his works were first published in France and banned by U.S. courts for decades, on charges of obscenity. Miller compiled this list of greatest literary works for the book Pour une Bibliotheque Ideale, edited by Raymond Queneau. |
