IMDB - Bottom 100 Movies

Add to my lists | Print this list

The Internet Movie Database’s list of 100 lowest-rated movies fluctuates a lot depending on variables such as phases of the moon, Mystery Science Theater 3000’s TV schedule, new Uwe Boll or Paris Hilton releases, etc.

For a movie to appear on this list, there must be at least 650 ratings for it given by "regular IMDb voters" (the definition of which is kept secret). Also, just as with the Top 250 list, this is restricted to fictional, theatrical releases; it does not include shorts, TV movies, straight-to-video releases, documentaries (e.g. The Real Cancún), or TV series or miniseries. To see what else might have been included here, see the IMDb Bottom 100 Supplement ( http://www.listsofbests.com/list/22382 ).

Update: IMDb movies that are available on-line — 1 year ago

I’ve done some more work on my cross-referenced list of movies on IMDb charts that are available on-line.

Visit the current list!

I’ve decided to move it off of Google Docs in favor of a personal wiki. I’m no longer making any special notations for newly-added movies. In fact, I had to take American Ninja 4 and Police Academy 7 off the list since Netflix apparently took them off-line.

Since this is on a wiki, I’d like to let interested parties help keep it maintained, but because I am paranoid of spammers, I would ask that you get in touch with me directly if you want editing access. Thanks in advance.

Never thought I'd see the day... — 2 years ago

...when bothCan’t Stop the Music and Teen Wolf Too dropped off the end of the list.

Will they be back??

Update (Oct. 16): Well, Teen Wolf Too is back now, but clinging to number 100.

Confused about Bratz? — 2 years ago

So am I. And unfortunately it seems that a lot of IMDb voters are confused, too.

There is a live-action Bratz movie that is at number 41.* And there is also a feature-length animated film that is at number 1.* But it seems possible that most people who voted on the latter thought they were voting on the former.

But the job of this list is to reflect the actual IMDb Bottom 100, not to second-guess the votes going into it! I hope I have put the right movies in the right slots, but if I haven’t, feel free to correct the error yourself, then comment on this post to let us know.

*Both of these rankings are correct as I write this, but undoubtedly they will change.

Kazaam — 2 years ago

....is the only movie on this list I’ve seen. And in my defense, I was 9 at the time.

R.I.P. Bob Clark — 2 years ago

Bob Clark died on April 4 along with his son in an auto accident in Pacific Palisades, California. The driver of the other car was booked on suspicion of DUI. (See the L.A. Times story of April 5.)

Bob Clark trivium — 2 years ago

Bob Clark, who directed Rhinestone and the Baby Geniuses movies, also directed A Christmas Story. Thus he may be the only director to have movies on both IMDb’s Bottom 100 and Top 250 lists. (Or are there others?)

Not sure I want to add this list — 3 years ago

I’ve seen 7% of these movies, and don’t want to see more. The surprising part is that there is one that I thought was worth consuming. That was Mortal Kombat II: Annihilation; though I suppose you’d have to like that kind of movie. I won’t argue that it was a well made movie.

I guess I'm relieved — 3 years ago

I’ve only seen 1 of these…and probably won’t be unfortunate enough to see the rest. I’m APPALLED that there’s a POLICE ACADEMY 7?!?
