stephsk8r's "Required Reading at My High School (Class of 2002)"

One of the things I like about Lists of Bests is being able to see what current and graduated high school students had to read in their classes and compare that to my own experiences. Some schools tend to stress different categories of literature.

I graduated from Chesterton High School in Chesterton, IN, in 1990. This is a list of the required texts for my English classes that I can remember. I’d love to hear others’ comments on the list and see what other people had to read in high school.

On at least two occasions, we were split up into groups and each group read a different novel. I don’t remember all of those, but I’ve listed the ones I do recall. I have not yet read most of the books assigned to other groups.
