Sarah's "Professor Dolan's "History of the Novel""

This is a list one of my favorite English Professor’s gave me as a summer reading list on the topic of "the history of the novel". It’s mostly British, with a few continental interludes, and intentionally lacking Italians, Americans, and Moderns. I was promised all of that in a different list, but I have yet to finish this one!
