Types of Sushi

Various sushi I know of. If you know of more add it to the list!! This way people who are looking to know about sushi and try different kinds can use this as a guide.

Sushi is fish and/or vegetables either on a pile of rice (this type is called called Nigiri) or rolled in rice, or nori (sea weed). Rolls with nori on the outside are called Maki. Sushi rolled into a cone is often called Hand Rolled or Te-Maki.

Sashimi just means raw fish.

Note: this list includes non-traditional "American" sushi, which is usually called [whatever] Roll.
