fish_beauty's "My 1000 favorite films [WIP - 363 and counting]"

Add to my lists | Print this list

Welcome to my 1000 Favorite Films list. This is a work in progress and won’t be finished for several years.

I don’t make any claim that these are the best movies of all time. (I don’t know how one could ever measure it.) They are the films which have dug their claws into me the deepest. I’ve found favorites in every corner in which I’ve looked so you’ll films on this list which are drawn from a wide assortment of decades, countries, and genres.

For the moment, I’ve minimized the number of short films in this list. Once this list nears its conclusion, I’ll reconsider them and add the appropriate number.

In general, I seem to agree with a lot of the critics regarding many of the great films. Consequently, you’ll see the usual celebrated films all over my list. There are also some oddball personal favorites, and those you’ll just have to accept as my own idiosyncratic choices.

This list is far short of 1000 films because there is a large chunk of film history that I am still learning about. I anticipate adding many more from the 1960s through today.

Take my list with a grain of salt and I hope you find some of your own favorites here.

Terminator 3? — 1 year ago

Most of the stuff on here is pretty understandable, but I don’t get what Terminator 3 is doing here.

What’s your take on it?
