rodevans's "The best Rock & Roll books for 60's bands"
Mr. Lewisohn’s Beatles book and Mr. Fenton’s Jefferson Airplane are in a league of their own. The amount of research they put into their golden works could never be imagined. The Beatles studio info starts and ends with Mr. Lewishohn. The Airplane book by Mr. Fenton didn’t stop at the 121 live shows it documents, or the 60 songs from the studio vaults, or over 250 questions and answers, there are 93 photos most never in print and they are as rare is rare as rare and 32 interviews with Airplane and spin-off members. Make sure you get both and the other 6 on the list. I appreciate you letting me vent!
