theqissilent's "25 Best Albums of 2006"

Note: Talk about a disappointing year. Almost every hyped return from the likes of RHCP, Killers, Futureheads, Walkmen, Mars Volta, and so on was mediocre at best (and often worse). And almost every hyped "next big thing" band like Arctic Monkeys, Sound Team, She Wants Revenge, Anathallo, Wolfmother, and so on was pretty much the same. And the reasoning for dumping new efforts by the likes of Beck, Tool and Snow Patrol with little fanfare made sense once you heard the resulting product. In fact, once you get down to the bottom seven or eight of this list, those albums are barely even worth paying full price for. Shame.
