Some of them may be a bit of a stretch where inclusion on this list is concerned and some are more about use than recovery. I know there’s a lot of stuff missing as this is a topic that has been touched on in thousands of movies. If you’d like to see something added, I welcome any suggestions.

Okay…so he’s addicted to killing, not drugs or alcohol, but he does go to meetings and says the serenity prayer at times. Not a comedy, but I had to laugh. Demi Moore almost didn’t ruin this movie…almost. I mean, William Hurt is a damn fine actor, but asking him to carry Costner and Moore both was just too much to expect from anyone.

Spun and When A Man Loves A Woman were on the list but I went ahead and added Crackheads, Ray, Walk The Line, and City of God. Thanks for the suggestions…keep em’ coming.
