Cities of British Columbia, Canada

This is a list of cities in BC.

- Municipalities get "City" status in BC if they have 5000 residents. These are all on the list, including the ones that have dipped below 5000 (they don’t lose their designation unless they request to). I’ve excluded those that are below 2000 residents now though, since the Gold Rush isn’t coming back any time soon.
- Municipalities with other designations – districts, towns, villages or resorts – that have over 5000 people are also on the list since many of them could be cities (e.g. Squamish, which has "Village" status and 15,000 people!)

Not on the list: Towns, Villages & Districts with close to 5000 residents, which is why places like Osoyoos, Creston, Gibsons and Metchosin aren’t included. I’m sure with seasonal populations they are 5000+, though.
