Metacritic's All-Time Lowest-Scoring Films
"The following list contains the 200 lowest-scoring films in "Metacritic’s database":http://www.metacritic.com/film/ with a minimum of seven [sic] reviews. Since our database consists mainly of more recent releases (virtually every film since the beginning of 1999, and selected films from prior years) most of the films on this list will be from that period. Periodically, we add additional films from the 1990’s and prior decades to our database, and these releases will find their way onto this list as appropriate."
Generally, Metacritic’s lists are much more stable than (for example) IMDb’s lists since they are based on published reviews.
Whenever a movie is available on video in multiple editions with different ratings, the edition listed here should match the same edition that was reviewed by the critics. For example, Saving Silverman is available in both R and PG-13 editions, but critics reviewed the PG-13 version.
